A child’s eyes are so precious.

But, did you know one out of every four kids over age 5 has some type
of vision problem? Poor vision affects a child socially, emotionally,
and physically. And it certainly doesn’t help in the classroom either!

That's why in July 2000, Kentucky state legislators enacted a law requiring all first-year school children ages 3-6 to have a complete eye exam from a licensed eye care professional.

Anywhere from 3-5 percent of all children either have some form of lazy eye (amblyopia), crossed eyes (strabismus), or both. But if these conditions are detected soon enough, they are often corrected successfully!
