Dr. Gary Upchurch Receives KOA Award

Dr. Gary Upchurch, FCOVD (Albany, Ky.), optometrist, was presented the Clifford C. Leadingham

Award at the Kentucky Optometric Association’s 2023 Awards Ceremony held at the KOA’s Spring Conference. This award is given annually to a doctor that has displayed outstanding and consistent service in the optometric profession for over 25 years.

The Kentucky Optometric Association’s mission is to promote, advance and insure the viability of the practice of optometry for the benefit of its members and the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Dr. Upchurch has practiced optometry in Albany, Ky., and continues to serve the patients in that community and surrounding communities for over 43 years.

"It is such an honor to receive this award and a very humbling experience," Dr. Upchurch said.

His motto is and always has been, "At Associates In Eyecare, we care about people, not just their eyes."
